It looks like Liverpool could be having a hearty sniff around Aston Villa’s Gareth Barry. In fact Rafa is so enamoured with the fruity Barry pot pourri of talent that he is demanding the Liverpool board back him in his quest. The princely sum of £12 million has been mooted but Martin O’Neill is understandably keen on tying his captain down to a new contract:
